Inserting Video on a Web Page
After finding an amazing video, how can you post that video to your web presence? Here are three options:
1) Upload the file 2) Post the hyperlink 3) Embed the HTML Code As show in the example of TeacherTube to the right, Video links and HTML code are usually found in the information about the video. See what these options look like below. |
Option 1: Upload the file
This is an example of an .avi file that has been uploaded onto the web site. The file launches within the web page and plays live on the site. The author has shot the video and saved it as a video file (.avi, Windows Media Video, QuickTime,MPEG, etc.). Users just upload the file onto the website.
Option 2: Post a Hyperlink
Another option is to link to the video from another video site (i.e.YouTube, SchoolTube, TeacherTube, etc.). The visitor to the website clicks on the link and is redirected to the video site to view the video.
One example is to hyperlink text, so the website doesn't show (this is the most attractive).
Click here for a link to Mr. Dewey's Fractions video
Or show the hyperlink:
http://www.teachertube.com/viewVideo.php?video_id=24266&title=Mr_Duey___Fractions_Official_Video
